The FATF recognised that Iraq and Vanuatu have made significant progress in improving their AML/CFT regime and will therefore no longer be subject to the FATF’s monitoring process.

    Serious deficiencies in Vanuatu’s measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing The Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG) has issued an amended public statement in relation to Vanuatu to reflect the adoption of its third round mutual evaluation report and Vanuatu's referral by APG members to the FATF's International Cooperation Review Group. The public statement, originally issued in October 2014 and updated in September 2015 to take account of the 3rd round report, will remain in place until the most important deficiencies in Vanuatu's anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT system have been addressed.

    Vanuatu's measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing This APG report provides a summary of the anti-money laundering (AML) / counter-terrorist financing (CFT) measures in place in Vanuatu as at the date of the on-site visit (26 January - 7 February 2015). The report analyses how effective Vanuatu's AML/CFT system is and provides recommendations on how the system could be strengthened. The findings of this assessment have also been reviewed and endorsed by the FATF.
