5 june 2023 - Seychelles has made progress in resolving some of the technical compliance deficiencies identified in its 2018 Mutual Evaluation.

Five recommendations have been re-rated.

  • Recommendation 19 has been upgraded from Partially Compliant to Compliant
  • Recommendations 5, 25, 28, and 34 have been upgraded from Partially Complian to Largely Compliant 

Seychelles will remain in enhanced follow-up

The Eastern and Southern Africa Anti-Money Laundering Group (ESAAMLG) is a is a FATF-Style Regional Body (FSRB). The FATF Recommendations

The FATF Recommendations are the basis on which all countries should meet the shared objective of tackling money laundering, terrorist financing and the financing of proliferation. The FATF calls upon all countries to effectively implement these measures in their national systems.

Mutual Evaluations

The FATF conducts peer reviews of each member on an ongoing basis to assess levels of implementation of the FATF Recommendations, providing an in-depth description and analysis of each country’s system for preventing criminal abuse of the financial system
