San Marino has made progress in addressing some of the technical compliance deficiencies identified in its MER.
The country has addressed the deficiencies in respect of the following Recommendation which has been re-rated as follows:

       •   Recommendation 35 has been upgraded from Partially Compliant to Largely Compliant.

    San Marino's measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing This report summarises the anti-money laundering (AML) and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) measures in place in San Marino as at the date of the on-site visit (28 September–9 October 2020). It analyses the level of compliance with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) 40 Recommendations and the level of effectiveness of San Marino’s AML/CFT system and provides recommendations on how the system could be strengthened.
