Overall, Cameroon has made good progress in addressing the Technical Compliance deficiencies identified in its 2022 Mutual Evaluation.

The country has been re-rated on 9 recommendations:

  • Recommendation 2 has been re-rated from Partially Compliant to Compliant 
  • Recommendation 10 has been re-rated from Partially Compliant to Largely Compliant 
  • Recommendation 12 has been re-rated from Partially Compliant to Largely Compliant 
  • Recommendation 14 has been re-rated from Non Compliant to Largely Compliant 
  • Recommendation 15 has been re-rated from Non Compliant to Partially Compliant 
  • Recommendation 16 has been re-rated from Partially Compliant to Largely Compliant 
  • Recommendation 19 remains rated Partially Compliant
  • Recommendation 20 has been re-rated from Partially Compliant to Largely Compliant 
  • Recommendation 24 has been re-rated from Non Compliant to Largely Compliant
  • Recommendation 32 has been re-rated from Partially Compliant to Largely Compliant 

Cameroon  currently has 6 Recommendations rated Compliant and 20 rated Largely Compliant;  9 Recommendations remain Partially Compliant.

The country will remain under the enhanced follow-up process and will report back to GABAC in one year’s time on the progress made.
